Barley Focus

Focus barley variety is a high-yielding winter barley specifically developed for the brewing industry. It has a medium maturity period with a vegetation cycle ranging from 73 to 89 days and high yield potential, reaching over 72.4 centners/ha. Plants grow to about 68 cm in height, exhibit lodging resistance, and have moderate drought tolerance, making this variety reliable for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region (approval zone 5). The 1000-grain weight varies from 46 to 58 grams, indicating high grain density and quality for malting.

Focus demonstrates high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including powdery mildew, leaf spot, rhi-nhosporiosis, dwarf rust, and ramulariosis. These resistance traits ensure stable yields and reduce the need for intensive plant protection. Additionally, the variety has low protein content, which positively affects malting quality and the final brewing product.

Thanks to its agronomic and technological characteristics, the Focus variety is an optimal choice for farmers focused on producing high-quality barley for the brewing industry. Its high adaptability to Central Chernozem conditions, disease and lodging resistance, and excellent yield performance make it a profitable and reliable crop to grow.
