Spring barley variety Schiwago is an early-maturing variety with a vegetation period of 83 to 88 days and plant height of approximately 63-67 cm. It is characterized by high drought resistance and resistance to major diseases such as helminthosporiosis, powdery mildew, and rust, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions. The thousand-grain weight is 45 grams, and the protein content in the grain reaches 10.5-11%, making this variety valuable for both feed and food industries.

Schiwago variety exhibits high productive tillering and resistance to lodging and downy mildew, contributing to high yields. The yield potential reaches 6 tons per hectare, confirmed by record performances in various regions, including the Northwest, Central Chernozem, and Volga regions. Recommended cultivation zones include Forest Steppe, Polesie, and Steppe, as well as areas such as Kaliningrad, Kursk, Oryol, and Tambov.

For storage, seeds of Schiwago variety should be kept at a temperature range of +7-10°C and humidity not exceeding 10%. Due to its characteristics, this barley is widely used in the agro-industrial complex for obtaining high-quality yields suitable for animal feed as well as for producing grain and flour.
