The 'Osipovskoe' apple variety is a summer triploid high-yield variety developed by breeders of VNIISP K through cross-breeding the Mannett and Tetrapiloid Papirivka varieties. The trees are of medium height with rounded crowns of medium density, adapt well to various soils including loams, sod-podzolic soils, and chernozems. The variety is sun-loving and moisture-loving, possesses satisfactory frost resistance for the central region, enduring temperatures down to -33°C, as well as high resistance to scab.
The fruits of the Osipovskoe apple variety have an average mass of about 130-133 grams, a flattened shape with wide ribs and a truncated top. The fruit skin is smooth, oily, and shiny, with a main yellowish-green color and pink stripes on the smaller part of the surface. The flesh is yellowish-green, of medium density, finely grained and juicy, distinguished by a very good dessert taste with a taste test rating from 4.3 to 4.5 points. Seeds are of medium size and brown color.
The period of technological maturity of the fruits arrives at the beginning of August, and storage is possible until mid-September, which allows apples to be used both for fresh consumption and for subsequent storage. The yield of the variety is high and varies from 20 to 42 tons per hectare depending on growing conditions. The trees possess resistance to main diseases such as gray rot, powdery mildew, cancer, and blotch, as well as to pests, including spider mites, aphids, flea beetles, and codling moth.
