Summer variety, obtained at the VNIIS named after I. V. Michurin from a cross between Papировка and Shafran-china, conducted in 1935. Breeders: S. I. Isaev and M. P. Maximova. It was regionally tested in the Lower Volga region. Gained recognition in the southern part of the Lower Volga, currently undergoing testing in several regions of the Central Chernozem Zone.
Tree is strongly vigorous, large in size, with a round, well-leafed crown. Main branches are thick, with an angle of departure from 45 to 90º, gray in color. Fruit set on long spurs, shoots, and one-year-old growths.
Shoots are relatively thick, brownish-brown, hairy, with few small roundish stipules. Leaves are dark green, broad, elliptical or egg-shaped, with rounded or broadly wedge-shaped base and sharply pointed apex, densely hairy. Leaf blade is deeply lobed, slightly curved, weakly twisted, matte, with wavy serrated or serrated-crenate edge. Petiole is long, thick, hairy. Stipules are small, narrowly lanceolate.
Fruits are medium (120 g) or above-medium (170 g) size, round or round-conical, relatively slightly flattened, with wide, smooth ridges. Fruit skin is thin, easily damaged. Main color is light green; covering color is dark-pink striped blush on a blurred rose marble-like background, covering up to half or more of the fruit surface. Peduncle at the central position on the fruit is short, thick, enclosed in a deep cup, at lateral positions — level with the cup rim or slightly protruding from it. Calyx is closed. Sub-calyx tube is short, wide, conical. Axial cavity absent. Cup is of medium depth, narrow. Plate is rather small, narrow, wrinkled. Heart is bulbous, large. Seed cavity is slightly closer to the fruit apex. Seeds are large, dark brown, wedge-shaped.
Flesh is slightly greenish, loose, tender, fine-grained, fairly juicy, aromatic, good taste. Chemical composition of fruits: sugar sum — 8.96%, titratable acids — 0.74%, sugar-to-acid ratio equals 12.1.
Fruit commercial quality is high.
Fruits are consumed fresh. Storage duration in refrigerator up to three weeks.
Trees begin fruiting on the sixth year after planting in the orchard. In young age, yields are annual, moderate; with age — periodic, fruit load increases up to 90 kg per tree.
Variety has medium winter hardiness — at the level of Belfler-china. Drought resistance is high.
Fruits and leaves are resistant to scab.
Advantages of the variety: abundant yield, high drought resistance, resistance to scab, high commercial and consumer qualities, attractive fruit appearance.
Disadvantages of the variety: strong growth, large crown size, poor transportability.
