Late summer or early autumn variety. Obtained at Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov by V.V. Vartapetyan in 1962 from crossing the variety Partizankha (Pepin Shafranny x Belfler-Chinese) with Antonovka Ordinaria. It was regionally approved in 2002.
Medium-sized tree; crown rounded and dense in youth, becoming broadly rounded at fruiting. Bark color gray; main branches gray, arranged obliquely-vertical, densely leafy, with ringed, branched tips.
Shoots straight, long, medium thickness, round in cross-section, greenish-brown, heavily hairy. Internodes medium, stipules rare, small, convex. Buds pressed, reddish-brown, hairy. Leaves green, upward-pointing, large, elongated, with cordate base, pointed apex, and serrated margin. Leaf blade curved along central vein, leathery, thick, wrinkled surface, shiny, underside heavily hairy. Petiole medium length and thickness; stipules lanceolate, large.
Fruits medium-large, one-dimensional, round-conical, slightly unequal-sided, slightly ribbed, fruit surface slightly pitted. Peel thickness medium. Main color pale-yellow; covering color pale-red, in form of blurred stripes, mainly on upper fruit portion. Peel smooth, russeting only at peduncle; peduncle short, medium thickness, wide calyx, broad, deep, with scalloped edges. Calyx open, subcalyx tube medium, funnel-shaped, axial cavity small, heart medium. Seed chambers slightly open, seeds large, brown, quantity medium.
Flesh pale-yellow, fine-grained, soft, juicy, sweet-sour, pleasant flavor, with slight aroma. Chemical composition of fruit: total sugars — 10.5% (7.6–13.2%), titratable acids — 0.63% (0.52–0.85%), tannins 59 mg/100g (41–72 mg/100g), ascorbic acid — 12.6 mg/100g (8.6–13.2 mg/100g), P-active substances — 0.2 mg/100g (0.16–0.23 mg/100g), pectic substances — 8.3% (5.6–10.8%) on dry weight.
Fruits have very pleasant dessert flavor and are good for fresh consumption. Keep until November.
Fruit bearing begins on 5th year. Annual yield, good. Cold hardiness at level of Antonovka Ordinaria. Variety resistant to scab.
Advantages of the variety: early bearing, regular yields, high commercial and consumer fruit qualities.
Disadvantages of the variety: short fruit storage period.
