Description Doch Papirovki
Summer variety developed by S. P. Kedryin at the Samara Experimental Station for Horticulture through hybridization of Anis Crimson with Papировка. Widely grown and recommended in Samara, Ulyanovsk, and several other regions.

Tree with a broad-pyramidal or rounded, densely foliated crown. Main branches extend at a steep angle, with strong attachment. Bark on main branches is gray-brown. Bud-forming ability of buds is moderate. Fruits are borne on both multi-year branch buds and young 2-3-year-old branches and fruiting spurs. In nurseries, seedlings are medium-sized. Upper shoots extend at an angle of 45-60º. Best vigorous rootstocks are seedlings of Anis, wild apple, and garden forms of large-fruited kiwifruits.

Shoots of medium thickness, straight, moderately upright, with gray-brown bark. Leaves are somewhat similar to those of Anis. They are round-oval, dark green, with serrated edges. Leaf blade is larger than that of Anis, leathery, relatively thick, slightly glossy, unlike the leaves of Anis.

Fruits of medium size (79-90 g), one-dimensional. Shape is round or flattened-round, tapering toward the apex. Fruit surface sometimes exhibits slight ribbing, more pronounced at the calyx. Skin is dense. Skin color is whitish-yellow, sometimes with golden tint. Under-skin dots are large, whitish, like those of Papировка. Peduncle of medium length, occasionally longer, protrudes beyond the wide, sometimes slightly corked calyx tube. Calyx is small, closed or half-open, positioned in a narrow dish, often with wavy edges. Sub-calyx tube is long and funnel-shaped. Seed cavity of medium size, onion-shaped. Seed chambers are open or half-open.
Flesh is whitish, juicy, slightly loose, often becomes juicy, with excellent sweet-sour flavor. Flesh is denser and juicier than Papировка, and does not become mealy.

Fruits ripen simultaneously from August 5 to 15. Harvesting period is August. After harvesting, fruits can be stored for 10-12 days.
Variety is early-bearing. Begins fruiting on the 4th-5th year after grafting. Sometimes fruiting is observed on the second year in nurseries. At ages 8-11, the average yield over 4 years is 62 centners per hectare. Fruit production is annual in young trees. Highest productivity is observed on well-fertilized, adequately moist soils. Essential measures include regular pruning and protection from pests and diseases.
Winter hardiness is closer to gray Anis, surpassing Papировка. In dry years, under heavy fruit load, fruits become smaller. Resistance to scab is moderate; less affected than Papировка and Moscow Pear.

Advantages of the variety: summer-ripening fruits, with denser and juicier flesh compared to Papировка, pleasant sweet-sour taste.

Disadvantages of the variety: fruit size reduction under heavy fruit load.
