Early-autumn variety selected at the Buryat Fruit and Berry Experimental Station. Obtained by crossing 'Ranetka Purpurovaya' with 'Papirovka'. Breeders: L. I. Dubrovskaya, I. A. Novoselova. Approved for use in the Republic of Buryatia since 1988.
Widely grown in collective and private gardens in Buryatia, in small quantities in Chita Oblast.
Tree is bushy, medium-sized, with a medium-density, broad-pyramidal crown. Bark on the trunk and main scaffold branches is greenish. Branches are straight, compactly arranged, tips directed upward. Fruit set is concentrated on simple buds.
Shoots are brown, moderately hairy, thick, curved, round in cross-section. Buds are numerous, medium-sized. Buds are medium, round, weakly hairy, pressed against the shoot.
Leaves are green, base rounded, margin toothed. Blade is wrinkled, matte, without hairs. Petiole is long, detaches from the stem at an angle less than 45º. Stipules are thread-like.
Flowers are medium-sized, dish-shaped, white, stigma styles positioned at the same level as the stamens.
Fruits are semi-cultivar type, exceptionally small, one-dimensional, strongly flattened, round, equilateral, smooth. Main color is light-yellow, covering color is bright red, very strong, blurred. Skin is smooth, with waxy coating, scarred at the pedicel base. Pedicel is long, thin. Receptacle is small, broad, ribbed.
Flesh is greenish-yellow, medium juicy and firm, tender.
Fruits are attractive, flavor good, slightly tart-sweet with mild aroma. Chemical composition of fruits: 11.8% sugars, 1.8% titratable acids, 10.5 mg/100g ascorbic acid, 302 mg/100g P-active substances.
Fruit ripens early-autumn.
Fruits are stored until the end of December. Suitable for fresh consumption and processing into compote, juice, jam.
Self-sterile. Good pollinator is the 'Pervenets Buryatii' variety.
Trees begin fruiting at 4 years of age, with annual yields. Yield during full fruiting period is 21 kg per tree, maximum up to 40-50 kg.
Variety is highly winter-hardy, drought-tolerant, heat-resistant. Not susceptible to diseases.
Advantages of the variety: high ecological adaptability, annual yield, fruit storability, suitability for fresh consumption and all types of processing.
