GOLDEN RESISTENT

Golden Resistant is an American winter apple variety, a random mutant of the Golden Delicious variety. The tree is medium-sized, grafted on the 54-118 rootstock, which ensures a stable yield and high frost resistance, surpassing the indicators of Golden Delicious. The variety is characterized by early fruiting, entering the fruiting period as early as the 2nd-3rd year after planting, and requires planting seedlings at a distance of not less than 3 meters in a row. The apple tree prefers sunny, open areas with fertile, light soils and moderate watering.

Golden Resistant fruits are large, weighing from 160 to 200 grams, and elongated-conical in shape. The main skin color is greenish-yellow with a pink blush on the sunny side, while large gray spots are practically absent on the surface, which distinguishes this variety from the classic Golden Delicious. The flesh is light cream, finely granular, very juicy and aromatic, with a delicate sour-sweet taste, which is highly valued by gardeners and consumers.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to major diseases, including scab and powdery mildew, which makes it practically immune. Fruit collection occurs in mid-to-late September, and the storage period in the refrigerator reaches 4.5-5 months. Due to high transportability and stable fruiting, Golden Resistant is one of the best clones of the Golden family, popular in Europe and successfully tested in Ukraine.
