GOLDEN RAINDERS

Golden Rainders apple is a high-yielding late-winter variety, developed in the Netherlands as one of the clones of the famous Golden Delicious. The trees are medium-sized with a dense crown that is conical initially, then becomes broadly rounded and densely branched during the fruiting period, eventually taking a weeping shape due to the weight of the fruits. The shoots are of medium thickness, and the leaves are elongated and green. The tree begins fruiting in the 3rd-4th year and is distinguished by winter hardiness, resistance to scab, and medium resistance to powdery mildew and bacterial burn. The root system anchors well in the soil, does not produce suckers, and does not require constant support.

The fruits of the Golden Rainders variety have a medium or large size, weighing 150-200 grams, with a round-conical shape and a dense, slightly rough skin. At harvest, the apples have a golden-green or light green color, while in the consumer period they acquire a delicate cream or yellow color with a possible red blush on the sunlit side. The flesh is dense, very juicy, fragrant, with a pleasant sweet taste and a slight acidity. To fully reveal the taste qualities, it is recommended to consume the apples after some ripening. The variety is self-sterile, so for pollination, it is recommended to plant varieties such as Delicious Spur, Wagener Prize, or Jonathan nearby.

Golden Rainders is distinguished by high yield and excellent transportability, which allows storing the fruits in cool conditions until April without losing their juiciness and attractive appearance. Due to these qualities, the variety is suitable for both personal consumption and industrial cultivation. The apple tree responds well to fertilization and delights gardeners with a stable and abundant crop every year.
