Apple RED ANKE

Technical Profile of the 'RED Anke' Variety

The autumn apple variety 'RED Anke' from Ao Sad-gigant is a balanced selection model optimized for intensive orchard cultivation. The tree’s key biological architecture features medium vigor combined with a spreading, rounded crown. This structure is essential for maximizing canopy aeration and light penetration, which directly contributes to the development of the characteristic dark red base color and deep raspberry blush of the fruit.

Fruit Quality and Yield Characteristics

From a production perspective, the variety delivers impressive commercial results:

• Fruit Size: 250–300 grams, positioning it as a premium large-fruit variety.
• Flesh Quality: Light cream texture with superior taste ratings, scoring 4.5 on the professional tasting scale.
• Storage Life: 3–4 months, enabling effective inventory management for the autumn-winter season without significant shelf-life degradation.

Disease Resistance and Horticultural Adaptability

A primary consideration for commercial growers is the tree's health profile. 'RED Anke' demonstrates strong genetic resistance against two major fungal pathogens: apple scab and powdery mildew. This resilience minimizes the need for frequent fungicide applications, reducing overall chemical overhead. While the variety exhibits medium winter hardiness, it remains a reliable performer provided that site selection accounts for local temperature variances. The 'RED Anke' by Ao Sad-gigant represents a professional-grade selection, blending high fruit mass with reliable resistance traits.
