Botanically, it is characterized by its small, branched structure and distinctive fruit pods that exhibit an evolutionary adaptation to wind or animal-assisted dispersal. The plant usually reaches a height of 5–15 cm, forming a delicate but resilient canopy.

Environmental requirements for this species are focused on high light intensity and low water retention. It performs best in well-drained, alkaline, or neutral soils and struggles in damp, cold, or high-fertility environments where competition from larger crops is intense.

Given its lack of commercial value, specialized pest management strategies are non-existent. The plant's survival is largely dictated by its ability to germinate rapidly and disperse seeds before agricultural or environmental stressors peak.
