Pegasus

The fungicide Pegasos is a systemic preparation intended for the prevention and treatment of fungal diseases of winter wheat and spring barley crops. Its active ingredient, prochloraz, belongs to the imidazole chemical group and acts by inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis in pathogenic fungi cells, leading to destruction of their cell walls and accelerated death. The preparation is effective against powdery mildew, septoria, rust, and cercosporosis in wheat, as well as powdery mildew and rhiinosporeosis in barley.

Pegasos is produced in the form of an emulsion concentrate with a prochloraz concentration of 450 g/l. The recommended application rate is 1.0 liter per hectare, with the working solution consumption varying from 200 to 300 liters per hectare. The treatment is effective on areas of at least 5 hectares. The preparation belongs to the third toxicity class, indicating its moderate safety during use.
