Spring barley variety Adapt is a fast-maturing grain variety recommended for cultivation in the steppe zone. The vegetation period is 65-70 days, plant height reaches 70-100 cm. The ear is two-rowed, medium length (8-10 cm), medium density, straw-yellow in color, with elongated-oval, light-yellow grains. The stem is erect, moderate tillering, leaves green, glabrous, with long, smooth, and elastic straw-yellow-colored stomata. The variety is characterized by high yield — 70-77 c/ha, with potential up to 7.5 t/ha. The 1000-grain weight varies from 47 to 63 g, protein content in the grain is approximately 11%. Adapt exhibits high resistance to lodging (8 points), shattering (9 points), and major barley diseases such as black and gray scab, powdery mildew, helminthosporiosis, and fusarium head blight, ensuring stable yields even under drought and heat conditions. The variety was developed and registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 1998 by the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. It is valued for its adaptation to dry steppe conditions, resistance to adverse factors, and high grain quality. Seeds are available in various categories, including elite and first reproduction, enabling efficient use of the variety in agricultural production.
