Spring barley variety 'Avatar' is a high-yielding cereal variety recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe regions. The vegetation period lasts 75-80 days, allowing effective use of the variety in intensive farming. Plants reach a height of 67-71 cm, have a two-rowed, long ear measuring about 9 cm, and light-yellow grain color. The plant is semi-erect with high bushiness, promoting good development and grain formation.

The 'Avatar' variety exhibits high resistance to major stresses and diseases. It shows high drought tolerance (score 9 out of 10), cold resistance (8 points), lodging resistance (9 points), and resistance to common diseases such as black smut, stone smut, stem rust, and powdery mildew, with a resistance score of 7 points. These traits make the variety a reliable choice for intensive farming with minimal yield losses.

The average yield of the variety is about 5.52 t/ha (55.2 c/ha), with grain protein content reaching 11%, and 1000-grain weight varying from 50 to 55 grams. To achieve maximum yield potential, standard regional agronomic practices should be followed, including mandatory fertilizer application and a seeding rate of approximately 4.5 million seeds per hectare. The 'Avatar' variety combines high productivity, resistance to adverse conditions and diseases, making it a profitable and reliable choice for farmers.
