CHARISMA — this is a six-row medium-height winter feed barley variety, registered in the Ukrainian Variety Register in 2016. This variety belongs to the intensive type, characterized by high productive tillering and spring regenerative capacity. The vegetation period ranges from 247 to 262 days, and plant height reaches 87–90 cm. The 1000-grain weight varies between 46.9–47.7 g, with a seeding rate of 3.5–4.0 million viable seeds per hectare. The grain is uniform and ripens simultaneously, facilitating harvesting. CHARISMA has high yield potential of 80–90 centners per hectare. The variety stands out for exceptional drought and winter hardiness, as well as good resistance to lodging and high resistance to shattering in the ear. These traits make it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions. Additionally, the variety demonstrates excellent tolerance to major barley diseases such as rust, powdery mildew, and helminthosporium. The grain of CHARISMA variety has high protein content — from 12.2 to 12.9%, enhancing its feed value. Due to the combination of high productivity, resistance to adverse factors, and superior grain quality, this variety is an effective solution for feed production and the agricultural sector as a whole.
