Airway

Airway — this is a feed variety of spring barley, distinguished by high and stable yield. This variety was recognized as the leader in yield in Poland in 2021 and demonstrates excellent adaptability to various climatic and soil conditions, including dry periods. Airway is characterized by medium height, good lodging resistance, and medium-late maturity, allowing efficient use under diverse agronomic conditions.

The variety exhibits high health and resistance to all tested diseases, ensuring reliable and high-quality harvests. The grain is large, uniform, and of excellent quality. Airway also has very good tillering ability, contributing to the formation of optimal plant density. The recommended seeding rate at optimal time is 240–260 germinating seeds per square meter, which corresponds approximately to 120–130 kg per hectare.

Barley Airway is widely used in the feed industry due to its high nutritional value. Its grains are used to produce various animal feeds, including for rodents and poultry. Additionally, barley can serve as a base for producing dry breakfast cereals, muesli, instant cereals, confectionery products, and snacks. Products made from this barley are produced without the use of fats and oils, making them beneficial and dietary.
