Accordine

Accordine — a mid-season spring barley variety intended for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the forest-steppe and Polissia regions. The vegetation period ranges from 83 to 87 days, and plant height varies between 54–65 cm. The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 7 tons per hectare, and uniform grain quality at 95–97%. Thousand-grain weight is approximately 53 grams, promoting even sowing and good plant development. The optimal seeding rate is 3–4.5 million seeds per hectare.

One of the key advantages of Accordine is its high resistance to diseases, including helminthosporiosis, powdery mildew, leaf spot, yellow rust, rhihosporeiosis, and black smut, with resistance ratings from 7 to 9 points. Additionally, the variety exhibits good drought tolerance and lodging resistance, ensuring stable yields under various weather conditions. Cold tolerance of the variety is rated at 7 points, allowing cultivation in cooler regions.

Accordine stands out for its unique malt quality due to optimal protein content in the grain (12–12.9%) and high extractability, making it suitable for both brewing and fodder use. The variety demonstrates a good combination of high yield and high-quality grain, ensuring economic efficiency and flexibility in agronomic practices. Recommended preceding crops for sowing include pea, corn, winter and spring rapeseed, and soybean.
