ZAVRALSKAYA VOLNA

Zavralskaya Volna is a variety of soft spring wheat developed by Russian breeders of the agro-holding «Kurgansemena» through individual selection from a hybrid combination of Tulaykovskaya 10 / Ekada 6. The plants are of medium height with a strong stem and medium-thickness straw, featuring a pyramidal white head, awnless and glabrous, with a density of up to 17-19 spikelets per 10 cm of rachis. The variety belongs to the medium-early type, with a vegetative period ranging from 77 to 89 days, usually maturing within 79 days.

This variety is characterized by high potential yield, reaching 30.4 centners per hectare, as well as resistance to lodging, shattering, drought, and various diseases. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 33 to 40 grams, with protein content at about 14.2% and crude gluten at 38%. Grain bulk density is high — 787 g/l, indicating good raw material quality.

Zavralskaya Volna possesses excellent baking qualities: the volume of bread made from flour of this variety reaches 890 ml, and the overall bread quality rating is 3.5 points. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Chelyabinsk and Omsk regions, as well as in the southern forest-steppe zone of the Kurgan region, confirming its adaptability to various regional climatic conditions.
