Orenburg Yubileyna is a soft spring wheat variety (Triticum aestivum L.) belonging to the steppe ecological group and recommended for cultivation in the Orenburg region. This medium-early variety has a phenological period of 80-89 days and matures 2-3 days earlier than the variety Ulyanovskaya 105. It is characterized by high drought resistance, comparable to the variety Ulyanovskaya 105, and resistance to lodging, shattering, and root sprouting, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in steppe and arid climate conditions. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 31 to 39 grams, and the average yield in the region is about 21.4 centners per hectare.
The variety has excellent baking qualities; the grain differs by high density (823 g/l) and vitreosity (90%), contains 12.4% protein and 31% raw gluten of II quality class. The overall evaluation of baking properties is in the range of 4.0-4.5 points. Due to the high extractability of the grain and suitability for mechanized harvesting, Orenburg Yubileyna is well adapted to modern agro-technologies, including tillage-free soil processing.
In trials, the variety showed superiority in yield over standard regional varieties, such as Saratovskaya 42 and Ulyanovskaya 105, with yield increase from 1.0 to 4.2 centners per hectare. Despite susceptibility to brown rust and hard head smut, the variety maintains stable indicators and high grain quality, making it promising for cultivation in the Ural region and Orenburg region.
