HAZINE is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) created at the Tatarstan Research Institute of Agriculture and Forestry (TatNIISKh OSP-FTC Kazan SC RAS) by individual selection from the hybrid combination F3 Hercules / Simbirtsit. The variety is mid-season with a vegetation period of 79-88 days, the plant is medium-height and resistant to lodging. The ear is pyramidal, of medium density, and white in color. The 1000-kernel weight is 34-41 grams. HAZINE has high drought resistance, which makes it particularly valuable for cultivation in northern and arid regions, such as the Orenburg region and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The variety is distinguished by high baking qualities, surpassing the standard variety Yoldyz in quality. It is characterized by high protein content (14.2-15.7%), good vitreousness, and kernel type. Dough physical properties, including flour strength and valoremeteric assessment, meet and even exceed requirements for "strong" wheat varieties. In addition, HAZINE has increased carotenoid content, which makes it particularly valuable for the production of functional foods and pasta products.
The average yield of the variety in the region is about 22.7 c/ha, while the maximum yield reached 48.4 c/ha in the Chelyabinsk region. Thanks to its unique characteristics and adaptation to various climatic conditions, the variety HAZINE is recommended for widespread use in agriculture, ensuring a stable and quality harvest.
