Zbruch (FAO 310) is a medium-maturing, intensive-type corn hybrid intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. The plant is medium-height, reaching 210-220 cm, and does not bush. The ear is cylindrical, 20-22 cm long, with a red stalk, containing 14-16 rows of kernels, with 38-40 kernels per row. The kernels are dent-shaped, yellow, with a 1000-kernel weight of 280-290 g. The hybrid is characterized by excellent drying properties and high technological efficiency, facilitating effective harvest processing.
The Zbruch hybrid exhibits high resistance to lodging, drought, cold, as well as to major diseases and pests, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions. Pre-harvest plant density is 50-55 thousand/ha in the steppe zone and 75-80 thousand/ha in the forest-steppe zone. The potential yield of grain reaches 11-13 tons per hectare, making this hybrid attractive for intensive agriculture.
The Zbruch variety responds well to improved growing conditions, demonstrating high productivity and adaptability. Its grain is primarily used for grain crops, ensuring high quality and stable yields. Due to its agronomic characteristics and high yield potential, the Zbruch hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming for efficient and sustainable corn production.
