The soft spring wheat variety "Tertsiya" is the result of a significant collaboration between leading Russian scientific centers: the ICG SB RAS, Omsk State Agrarian University, and the Ural Federal Agrarian Research Center. This variety was developed as a tool to minimize risks when growing cereals in volatile continental climates, where agronomists must constantly combat fluctuating weather patterns and a wide range of phytopathogens.

A key advantage of "Tertsiya" is its high natural resistance to diseases, which is critical for obtaining high-quality grain. The variety exhibits resistance to leaf rust and effectively counters root rot and mold, which often cause significant harvest losses. Its strong resistance to lodging allows the variety to perform well under intensive cultivation technologies, minimizing losses during mechanized harvesting.

Agronomic management

When planning plant protection systems, it is essential to consider the pre-harvest interval, which is 40 days after the last application. "Tertsiya" shows a predictable response to fertilizers and agronomic practices aimed at unlocking the ear's genetic potential. Thanks to a robust breeding foundation, the variety harmoniously combines the hardiness typical of Siberian crops with high baking qualities demanded by the flour milling industry.
