The vegetative period of Modava spans 80–90 days. This short duration is critical for regions prone to early-season soil drought or climatic instability: the plant completes mass accumulation and spike formation before peak temperatures set in. Agronomically, this provides flexibility in planting schedules, minimizing exposure to environmental stressors.

Defensive Mechanisms and Phytopathology
