ALTAISKAYA 85

The spring soft wheat variety 'Altaiskaya 85' was developed by specialists of the Federal Altai Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnology and represents a medium-maturing, medium-height variety with good baking qualities. It belongs to strong varieties and is characterized by an early-maturing period, which allows for its effective use in various agro-climatic conditions.

'Altaiskaya 85' is distinguished by its resistance to major pests and diseases, including bunt and brown rust, which significantly reduces the risk of crop losses. However, the variety is moderately resistant to brown rust and susceptible to certain diseases, such as loose smut, powdery mildew, root rots, and septoria. These features require a careful approach to plant protection during the growing season.

The variety is recommended for cultivation in the West Siberian region, specifically in the Rubtsovskaya-Alaysky steppes of the Altai Territory, and is also permitted for cultivation in the Ural and East Siberian regions. During trials, 'Altaiskaya 85' showed high yield—averaging 21.4 centners per hectare, surpassing standard varieties. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, this variety is a promising choice for agricultural producers seeking a stable and quality harvest.
