Zhigulevskaya is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), registered in 1984. This variety belongs to strong wheat with a medium maturation period and is intended for cultivation in grain crops. The breeders are FGBUN Samara Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and LLC "Kashirskoe Experimental Farm". The variety is recommended for cultivation in regions with climatic conditions of the Orenburg region, the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the Chelyabinsk region.
The product is produced in the form of sprouted dry wheat grains, which may be presented in the form of flakes. These flakes have a neutral taste, are not sweet and not salty, with a light crunch texture. They are conveniently used as an additive to yogurts, muesli, or even in hot dishes, for example, in chicken broth.
