Chornobrova

Chornobrova — a unique winter wheat variety obtained by crossing black-seeded wheat and phleum. The grain of this variety is characterized by a dark color, ranging from dark purple to black, due to its high content of antioxidants. Thanks to its special composition, Chornobrova wheat has a rich flavor and improved nutritional properties, including a higher level of protein, B-vitamins, trace elements, and iron, as well as reduced gluten content. This variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 8.4 tons per hectare, and thousand-grain weight of about 43.2 grams. The grain contains a significant proportion of easily soluble proteins, positively affecting flour and final product quality. Chornobrova is distinguished by resistance to various diseases and stress factors, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in Central and Forest-Steppe regions of Ukraine. Chornobrova wheat is widely used in the food industry: it is used to produce wholemeal flour, cereals, flakes, and baked goods with improved taste and nutritional properties. The variety is also suitable for sprouting and feed purposes. Due to its unique characteristics, Chornobrova represents a valuable product both for agriculture and healthy nutrition.
