Ksenia

KSENIA is a variety of soft winter wheat developed for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. It is characterized by early ripening and high productivity, with a vegetation period ranging from 229 to 265 days. The plants are of medium height, measuring from 71 to 100 cm, with hollow straw, which ensures resistance to lodging. The bush is semi-erect, the grain is red, oval-elongated in shape, with the mass of 1000 grains varying from 34 to 48 grams. The raw gluten content is 30-34%, which positively affects grain quality. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and frost resistance, which are above average, as well as high drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climatic conditions. KSENIA is resistant to lodging, shattering, and grain germination on the root, which contributes to crop preservation. In addition, the variety shows moderate resistance to brown rust and tolerance to stem rust, septoria, and Fusarium head blight, which reduces the risk of losses from diseases. The high yield of the variety is confirmed by practical results: the average yield in the region is about 47.3 c/ha, and the maximum yield is up to 83.6 c/ha, which was recorded in the Rostov region. Low fertilizer requirements and high disease resistance make KSENIA a profitable and reliable choice for agricultural production in the North Caucasus region and adjacent areas.
