Wheat Hybery

Advanced German genetics for high-yield wheat production

The «Huberi» winter wheat variety from Saaten-Union is engineered for farmers who prioritize consistency and efficiency in intensive farming systems. Standing at 100–110 cm, this variety offers a robust architecture that maintains excellent lodging resistance, ensuring that your crop stays standing even in adverse weather conditions during the final stages of maturity.

Disease management and crop security

The core value proposition of «Huberi» lies in its superior genetic resistance to major fungal threats. By selecting this variety, growers significantly reduce the risk of crop damage and the need for excessive fungicide intervention. Key resistances include:

• Rust resistance: High tolerance to both yellow and brown wheat rust.
• Fungal disease protection: Effective resistance against Septoria, powdery mildew, and various rots.
• Fusarium protection: Specifically designed to combat head blight, minimizing the risk of mycotoxin contamination in harvested grain.

For farm operations, «Huberi» provides a reliable buffer against unpredictable environmental pressures. Its ability to maintain foliage health—resisting brown leaf spot and other blights—ensures that the plant maximizes nutrient transport to the head throughout the entire grain-filling period.

Practical application in the field

«Huberi» is best suited for fertile soils under optimized production protocols. Because the variety possesses strong natural lodging resistance, it integrates seamlessly into high-input management programs where early lodging can often limit yield. By reducing the pressure from leaf and head diseases, this variety gives agronomists more flexibility in the timing of their protective spray programs. Whether you are aiming for high-quality food-grade grain or consistent commercial yield, «Huberi» serves as a dependable cornerstone for winter wheat production cycles.
