Wheat Horlica Myronivska

Stability as a strategy: why choose «Horlytsia Myronivska»

In the unpredictable climate of Ukraine, where the risk of crop lodging and fungal diseases is particularly high, the winter wheat variety «Horlytsia Myronivska» remains a proven tool for agronomists. Developed by the V.M. Remeslo Myronivka Wheat Institute, this variety is focused on achieving predictable results while minimizing operational risks.

Agronomic profile and resistance

The main advantage of this variety is its high genetic resistance to pathogens. Unlike many modern intensive hybrids that require aggressive fungicide programs, «Horlytsia» demonstrates strong natural immunity to brown rust, root rot, and Fusarium head blight. This provides more than just savings on plant protection products; it acts as an insurance policy against crop failure during prolonged rainy periods when the development of powdery mildew or rust becomes a critical threat.

• Planting density: The optimal productive stem density ranges from 4.0 to 5.0 million stems per hectare, allowing the variety to utilize soil resources efficiently.
• Grain quality: The weight of 1,000 seeds falls within the 40-45 gram range, ensuring solid quality parameters.
• Lodging resistance: A vital parameter for regions with high humidity or strong winds. The high structural integrity of the stem allows the variety to withstand physical stress and retain yields until harvest.

Who is this variety for?

«Horlytsia Myronivska» is optimal for farming operations that seek a balance between intensity and reliability. With a potential yield of 4-5 tons per hectare, it does not require overly complex cultivation technologies. It is forgiving of minor mistakes in fertilizer schedules while remaining responsive to professional care. This variety is the choice for pragmatists who prioritize a «safe» harvest with high marketability.
