Soft spring wheat of the EXTRA® variety is an agricultural crop intended for grain cultivation. This variety is characterized by early maturity and medium plant height, allowing for high yields and quality grain. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 32 to 45 grams, indicating good seed development and density. EXTRA® belongs to the lutescens type and is widely used in various regions, including the Perm Krai, Udmurt Republic, Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as Sverdlovsk and Kemerovo regions.
The variety has moderate drought resistance comparable to the Iren variety, making it suitable for cultivation in conditions with limited moisture. However, it has medium susceptibility to a number of diseases, such as septoria, root rot, common bunt, powdery mildew, as well as brown and stem rust. It is particularly strongly affected by loose smut, which requires attention during agrotechnical measures and plant protection.
EXTRA® wheat seeds are sold in 50 kg bags, which is convenient for storage and transportation. The vegetative period of the variety is from 90 to 120 days in the first phase and from 80 to 90 days in the second, allowing for planning sowing and harvest with consideration of the region's climatic conditions. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, the EXTRA® variety is a sought-after choice for agricultural producers seeking a stable and quality harvest.
