DALYGAU 4 is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) belonging to the erythrospermum subspecies. It is characterized by a medium-late maturity period with a vegetative period ranging from 78 to 100 days, depending on the growing region. The plants of this variety are erect or semi-erect, the ear is cylindrical of medium density, white in color, and awned. The grain is ovate, colored, with a long awn; the mass of 1000 grains varies from 30 to 38 grams. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Amur Region and Primorsky Krai, where it shows good adaptation and stable yield. DALYGAU 4 possesses satisfactory baking qualities and belongs to the filler category, making it suitable for the production of bakery products. It is distinguished by good resistance to shattering and grain germination in the ear, as well as ease of harvesting with a combine. The variety is moderately resistant to lodging and drought, which enhances its reliability under variable climate conditions. However, it is susceptible to certain diseases, such as bunt, root rots, powdery mildew, and brown rust, which requires the application of appropriate agronomic measures to protect the crops. The average yield of the variety in the recommended regions reaches about 23 centners per hectare, which exceeds the average standard by approximately 1.4 centners. Maturation occurs simultaneously or slightly later compared to other varieties, such as Dalnevostokaya 10, Aryuna, and Khabarovchanka. Due to the combination of resistance to adverse factors and good technological characteristics, DALYGAU 4 is a promising variety for cultivation in the Far East conditions, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield of soft spring wheat.
