Wheat of the Astron variety is a high-quality winter wheat of the 3rd grade harvest of 2025, possessing excellent technological properties. The gluten content of the grain is 23%, ensuring good dough elasticity, and the protein content of not less than 15.3% contributes to high flour quality. The IDK (gluten deformation index) reaches up to 100 units, indicating high gluten strength. The grain density is not less than 770 g/l, and the percentage of germinated grains does not exceed 1.0%, confirming high product preservation and quality. This wheat is widely used in the production of grain products and animal feed. The Astron variety belongs to medium-maturing and high-yield types of soft winter wheat, the 'lutescens' variety. It is characterized by high ecological plasticity and adaptability to growing conditions, predecessors, and sowing dates, enabling stable and high yields on various mineral nutrition backgrounds. The variety exhibits high resistance to major diseases and stress factors: lodging and shattering (9 points each), root rots, septoria, and fusarium (7-8 points), as well as brown rust and powdery mildew (9 points each), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to follow cultivation technology with a seed sowing rate of 5.5-6.0 million viable seeds per hectare and to sow in the second half of the optimal sowing window. The product is available in batches of 50 kg, convenient for various farm scales.
