Tenderness

Cherry variety Tenderness is a promising medium-late maturing variety of Ukrainian selection, obtained by crossing Drogana zhyota and Francis. The fruits of this variety are large, round-heart-shaped, weighing 7 to 10 grams. Their color is a yellow background with a bright pink-red blush on the sun-exposed side. The flesh is light yellow, firm, juicy, and slightly fibrous, with a pleasant sour-sweet taste rated 4.25–4.5 points. The skin is thin but tough, and the medium-sized stone separates easily from the flesh. The juice is colorless.

The tree of variety Tenderness is vigorous and forms a rounded-oval, spreading, well-leafed crown of moderate density. The variety demonstrates high winter hardiness, drought and disease resistance, making it a reliable choice for both commercial orchards and home gardens. Additionally, the fruits exhibit high resistance to cracking and good transportability, facilitating storage and transportation.

Variety Tenderness is adaptable to various growing conditions and suitable for different climatic zones and agronomic practices. Fruit ripening occurs at the end of June to early July. The best pollinators for this variety are Kitayivska chorna, Drogana zhyota, and Nektarna. Due to its qualities and characteristics, cherry Tenderness is an excellent choice for cultivation both on a commercial scale and in private gardens.
