Vegetable Pea Style

Technical profile of «Style» peas

The vegetable pea variety «Style» by the German brand Van Waveren Saaten is the result of breeding work by Pure Line Seeds, focused on achieving a stable early harvest. The technical value of this hybrid lies in the balanced combination of vegetation period and biological plant potential.

Biological parameters and productivity

• Maturation speed: The vegetation period is 50-60 days. This time interval allows farmers to plan conveyor production, ensuring early market entry of marketable produce.
• Fruit morphology: The standard pod length varies from 8 to 10 cm. This is the optimal size for both mechanized and manual harvesting, minimizing field losses.
• Filling capacity: Each pod contains 7-8 peas. High filling density combined with a thousand-kernel weight of 200-220 grams indicates a high yield of marketable fraction, which directly impacts profitability for processing and fresh market sales.

Why this choice matters for agricultural practice

The main advantage of «Style» is its predictable development. In intensive farming, it is crucial to use planting material that demonstrates uniform emergence and synchronized pod maturation. A 1000-kernel weight of 200-220 grams classifies this variety as medium-large grain, ensuring excellent taste and visual appeal of the peas in the milk-ripe stage. Pure Line Seeds breeding guarantees the crop's adaptability to various soil types under standard agricultural conditions, making this hybrid a reliable tool for both small farms and industrial agricultural complexes.
