SOVINTER

SOVINTER is a mid-season shelling variety of vegetable pea, primarily intended for the canning industry. It was created as a result of breeding work by the Federal Scientific Center for Horticulture and other scientific institutions, which ensures high quality and harvest stability. The variety is characterized by uniform ripening and high yield potential, making it attractive for modern cultivation technologies. SOVINTER pea is distinguished by a balanced content of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals, which gives products made from it high biological value and dietary properties.

The plants of the variety have an average height of about 87 cm, green leaves, and white flowers. Pods 9-10 cm long contain 7 to 9 seeds, which ensures good yield – from 0.3 to 0.7 kg per square meter. The variety is resistant to ascochitis and is moderately affected by the codling moth, which increases its reliability in various climatic conditions. The period from germination to technical maturity is 43-63 days, which allows the pea to be used both in fresh form and for canning and freezing.

SOVINTER is recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth region and other areas with similar conditions. Due to its excellent taste and versatility of application, this variety is in demand among canners and consumers of fresh peas alike. The optimal sowing scheme is 15 by 5 cm, which contributes to effective use of area and maximum harvest yield.
