Vegetable Pea KUDO

Yield stability under stress conditions

The vegetable pea variety «Kudo» from Syngenta is a premier choice for commercial farming operations focused on high-quality production for the processing industry. This hybrid is engineered to meet the stringent demands of canning and freezing companies, where uniformity of caliber, deep green color, and tender texture are of paramount importance.

Key advantages

• High yield potential that remains stable even during adverse weather conditions.
• Excellent lodging resistance: a strong stem facilitates efficient mechanized harvesting, significantly reducing field losses.
• Uniform ripening: the crop reaches technical maturity simultaneously, which is critical for large-scale operations and tight harvest schedules.
• Robust disease tolerance: built-in resistance to common bean diseases helps reduce the necessity for frequent fungicide applications.

Agronomic profile

«Kudo» demonstrates remarkable adaptability across various soil types. Unlike many early-maturing varieties, this hybrid is not prone to rapid over-maturation. This provides farmers with a more flexible harvesting window, ensuring that the peas retain their signature sweetness and texture without becoming starchy if the harvest is slightly delayed.

For growers looking to scale their production, «Kudo» acts as a reliable tool. By combining high output per hectare with resilience to environmental stress, it helps secure a consistent supply chain for the processing sector, making it a staple in professional agricultural portfolios.
