Tulip Yellow Cab

Engineering the Triumph Class: Yellow Cab

The Yellow Cab tulip is a high-performance horticultural product engineered for both industrial forcing and commercial landscaping. As a member of the Triumph class, this variety is characterized by structural rigidity and a classic, well-defined bloom architecture, which are essential metrics for cut-flower marketability.

Structural Specifications

• Stem Dynamics: The plant exhibits a medium height with high tissue density in the peduncle. This structural integrity ensures vertical orientation during the forcing cycle, significantly reducing lodging risks under high-intensity lighting conditions.
• Bloom Morphology: The flower maintains a classic 'glass' shape with tightly packed petals. The yellow pigment exhibits excellent UV stability, preventing premature color fading and extending the plant's decorative phase in both protected and open field environments.
• Development Timing: Classified as a mid-season bloomer, this variety is strategically positioned to fill production gaps between early-flowering tulips and late-blooming Darwin hybrids.

Operational Practicality

Yellow Cab is optimized for professional growers due to its predictable response to thermal input and forcing protocols. The cultivar’s moderate growth rate allows for precise management of greenhouse environments. From a logistics standpoint, the dense petal structure is a critical advantage: it provides superior durability during transit and ensures that the flower remains in a 'tight bud' stage, meeting the quality standards required for long-distance cold-chain distribution.
