Tulip Yellow Mountain

Stability and Performance in Production

Working with the Yellow Mountain variety, one immediately notices its technical reliability. As a classic Triumph tulip, it behaves predictably in the field. If you are planning for forcing or cut flower production, this tulip won't cause issues with uneven growth: the medium stem height and strong peduncle are critical assets for mechanized harvesting and logistics.

Operational Insights

• Propagation: The bulb shows an excellent multiplication rate, making this variety a cost-effective choice for long-term planting stock planning.
• Blooming: Its late flowering cycle allows growers to capture the market window after early varieties have finished. The petals have a rich, pure yellow color without blemishes, which significantly simplifies quality grading.
• Resilience: The variety exhibits high resistance to bulb diseases when standard fungicide protocols are followed. It is not overly sensitive to moisture fluctuations, provided the site has proper drainage.

When handling Yellow Mountain, strict adherence to the cooling period temperature regime is essential. The variety responds well to quality fertilization but does not require excessive nitrogen; over-fertilization can soften the stem, compromising the marketability of the cut flower. In terms of plantation management, the medium height is ideal for efficient manual cutting without damaging the stems.
