Chrysanthemum Roxell

Cultivating the Roxel Chrysanthemum

Roxel is a domestic variety developed by the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden. For growers and landscape professionals, it represents a reliable and low-maintenance choice that fits well into both garden beds and container systems.

Practical Performance and Maintenance

The plant grows to a height of 30–60 cm, making it a perfectly compact bush that requires no staking or additional support. Its ability to maintain its shape is a significant advantage for those looking to reduce labor costs in garden maintenance.

Key Operational Details

• Light Requirements: This variety is sun-loving. Optimal exposure is essential to ensure strong stems and dense foliage; shading often leads to leggy growth, which can spoil the visual appeal.
• Container Suitability: Roxel is excellent for pots and planters. The blooms, with a diameter of 5–10 cm, feature a rich purple hue that remains vibrant throughout the season.
• Ease of Care: As a local variety, it is well-adapted to regional climatic conditions. It does not require complex fertilization schedules. If kept in pots, the primary focus is ensuring consistent moisture, as the soil volume in containers is limited.

The Roxel chrysanthemum is a practical, resilient option that provides aesthetic impact without requiring intensive horticultural expertise. Whether used as a border plant or a decorative centerpiece in a pot, it performs consistently with minimal intervention.
