Tulip Tineke van der Meer

Stability in Commercial Floriculture

The "Tineke van der Meer" tulip (Triumph class) is highly valued by operators for its predictable performance in greenhouse cycles. For an agronomist, this choice means working with plant material that has strong natural resistance to pathogens. Unlike temperamental varieties, this hybrid minimizes the risks of Verticillium wilt, Fusarium wilt, and Cladosporium. Its resistance to the tomato mosaic virus eliminates the need for excessive chemical treatments, significantly optimizing plant protection costs.

Operational Features

As an early-flowering variety within the Triumph group, forcing requires strict control over temperature regimes. The plant reaches a medium height, ensuring excellent market density per square meter of greenhouse space. The flower stems of "Tineke van der Meer" are noted for their durability and uniformity: during harvesting, the operator gets a predictable volume of produce without the need for time-consuming height sorting.

Practical Care Recommendations

• Planting Material: Requires standard substrate preparation. Thanks to its natural immunity to fungal infections, bulb loss is minimal when proper agrotechnical practices are followed.
• Flowering: The soft pink hue of the petals maintains its saturation even under intense lighting conditions. The plant handles transportation well, making it a liquid asset for wholesale distribution.
• Economics: A high yield of first-grade flowers reduces the unit cost of production, making "Tineke van der Meer" a profitable choice for intensive cultivation.
