Tulip Bolroyal Pink

A Triumph Class Standout

The «Bolroyal Pink» tulip is a classic Triumph cultivar that serves as a benchmark for reliability in commercial floriculture. While many pink varieties prioritize aesthetics at the expense of health, Bolroyal Pink balances a delicate floral color with a robust biological profile. Its primary edge in the market lies in its proven ability to withstand environmental stress and pathogens that typically decimate weaker, more ornamental hybrids.

Field Performance and Resistance

Unlike less resilient varieties that require intensive fungicide programs, Bolroyal Pink possesses inherent genetic defenses against the most damaging bulb pathogens. This durability allows producers to focus on yield consistency rather than crisis management. Key resistances include:

• Fusarium and Verticillium wilts — ensuring uniform stand density.
• Tomato mosaic virus — preserving the clean, signature pink hue without unwanted mottling.
• Cladosporium — maintaining foliage and petal integrity even in humid, unpredictable spring weather.

Optimal Use and Limitations

This mid-season bloomer is perfectly suited for professional farming operations looking for stability. Its medium height and sturdy stem structure are highly advantageous for mechanized harvesting and bulk logistics, minimizing post-harvest losses. It is an excellent choice for growers supplying the mid-spring market where demand for consistent, high-quality pink blooms is consistently high.

The trade-off for this vigor is a specific requirement for soil drainage. While resistant to fungal infections, the bulb remains sensitive to prolonged waterlogging, which can lead to physiological decline. When managed with precise irrigation protocols, Bolroyal Pink provides an exceptionally high return on investment, offering a predictable, premium product that stands out in both greenhouse and open field cultivation.
