Tulip Tamara

Operational Advantages of the Tamara Tulip

For a commercial grower, the Triumph class «Tamara» offers a predictable production cycle. From an operational standpoint, this variety is highly manageable due to its medium height and rigid stem, which eliminates the need for expensive structural supports or netting. This reduction in labor costs for maintenance allows for a more efficient harvest and higher profitability per square meter.

Disease Resilience

One of the primary concerns in bulb management is plant health. «Tamara» stands out due to its inherent resistance to watermelon mosaic virus and powdery mildew. By selecting a variety with such a robust biological defense system, you significantly reduce the need for intensive fungicide spraying. This lowers your chemical input costs and simplifies your crop protection schedule, allowing for a safer, more sustainable cultivation environment.

Market Performance and Aesthetics

With its striking combination of white and red petals, «Tamara» is a reliable performer in the retail segment. Its medium flowering period provides a predictable window for sales, allowing you to effectively manage labor allocation during the busy spring season. When it comes to post-harvest handling, the cultivar demonstrates excellent longevity, ensuring that the final product maintains its decorative value through the entire supply chain. It is an uncomplicated crop that responds well to standard bulb cultivation protocols.
