Tulip Arabian Lady

The Elegance of Triumph: The Status of the Arabian Lady Variety

In the professional floriculture industry, the Arabian Lady variety holds a firm position as one of the most recognizable representatives of the Triumph tulip class. This group originated from the cross-breeding of Darwin hybrids and early-flowering varieties, combining aesthetic perfection with high physiological resilience.

The hallmark of the Arabian Lady is its contrasting petal coloration. The combination of deep red with a striking white margin makes it a favorite for both spring gardens and commercial cut flower production. The medium-height stems possess remarkable rigidity, allowing the blooms to maintain their classic goblet shape even under adverse weather conditions.

Agronomic Advantages

For growers and farmers specializing in forcing, the resilience of the planting material is a key factor. Arabian Lady demonstrates high natural resistance to several pathogens that typically threaten bulbous plants:

• Cladosporium (Cladosporiosis);
• Powdery mildew;
• Cucumber mosaic virus.

This genetic resistance significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications and ensures consistent, high-quality yields. As a mid-season bloomer, this variety aligns perfectly with peak market demand for tulips.

In the market, this variety is valued for its predictable growth cycle. When grown in greenhouse conditions, it delivers excellent output of standard-grade flowers. Arabian Lady is the choice for those seeking a balance between the aesthetics of a "royal" flower and the reliability of a hybrid capable of withstanding minor agrotechnical inconsistencies.
