Gerbera Serenada

Cultivating 'Serenada' Gerbera: Field Report

The plant height ranges from 45 to 60 cm, making it a perfectly sized crop for consistent cut-flower harvesting. The stems exhibit excellent structural integrity, which significantly reduces damage risks during logistics and wholesale distribution.

Operations and Maintenance

Efficiency in the greenhouse depends on the responsiveness of the crop to environmental controls. 'Serenada' thrives under drip irrigation systems, provided the operator maintains consistent soil moisture levels to avoid root zone issues. The maintenance cycle is straightforward: standard leaf thinning and the timely removal of spent flower heads keep the plants in a high-yield state. The variety is remarkably resilient, tolerating the standard fluctuations of a controlled environment with minimal effort.

• Operational Dimensions: The consistent 45–60 cm height profile simplifies bench management and planting density.
• Post-Harvest Quality: Cut flowers maintain turgor and freshness for up to 12 days, a key factor for wholesale profitability.
• Application: Best suited for commercial flower production and high-end floral design.

'Serenada' serves as a low-maintenance, high-output solution for growers who prioritize predictable performance and durability in their inventory.
