Tulip Friso

Predictable Performance in Production

Friso is a workhorse for professional bulb forcing and commercial landscape design. As a Triumph class tulip, it delivers exactly what a grower needs: consistent stem strength and a classic, elegant bloom. For those managing the greenhouse, this means less time spent on staking or handling fragile crops. The plant maintains a medium height that makes packaging and logistics seamless, reducing mechanical damage during transit.

Resistance and Operational Efficiency

The standout feature of Friso is its robust immune system. In environments where high-density planting typically triggers disease outbreaks, this variety stands its ground. You will notice a significant decrease in the need for intensive fungicide applications, which directly translates to lower operational costs and healthier bulbs. Friso shows impressive resilience against:

• Verticillium wilt;
• Powdery mildew;
• Phytophthora;
• Root rot.

By choosing a variety that is naturally resistant to these common threats, you essentially automate your risk management strategy, keeping your crop losses to a minimum.

Cultivation and Market Appeal

With its mid-season blooming window, Friso fits easily into any production schedule. The deep, vibrant red of the petals is a market favorite, consistently driving sales. Beyond its aesthetics, the flower exhibits excellent post-harvest durability, retaining its form and color even when temperature conditions fluctuate. It is a forgiving variety, resilient to minor mistakes in irrigation or light management. If you are looking for a reliable, low-maintenance, and high-yielding tulip that allows for efficient management, Friso is a top-tier choice for your business.
