Phlox paniculata 'Airy Castle' is a perennial garden plant that rapidly grows into lush, tall bushes reaching about 98 cm in height. The leaves have a pointed-elliptical shape, are green and non-hairy, giving the plant a neat appearance.
The stalks are sturdy, and the flower heads reach 17 cm in height and 20 cm in width. They are arranged in a round-conical pattern with a dense structure, covered by large petals with wavy edges, creating a soft haze effect. The buds are pink, and the corolla is large, flat-profiled, in a pale purple-red shade, giving the flowers a delicate and airy coloration.
The variety is distinguished by its resistance to unfavorable weather conditions, diseases, and pests. It is drought-tolerant, heat-tolerant, and winter-hardy, and the period from the beginning of vegetation to the start of flowering is 93 days, after which it grows for 42 days. Thanks to the medium coloration, which fades weakly, and moderate shedding, 'Airy Castle' remains a bright and attractive element of the landscape throughout the season.
