Tulip Sacramento

Operational reliability in production

The 'Sacramento' tulip (Triumph class) is a robust asset for any professional grower. It offers predictable growth cycles, which is essential for precise supply chain planning. As a mid-season variety, it fills the gap between early and late crops perfectly, allowing for an efficient rotation in greenhouse environments.

Disease resistance and maintenance

One of the primary benefits of 'Sacramento' is its high intrinsic disease resistance. Managing this variety is straightforward, as it demonstrates strong protection against downy mildew, cladosporiosis, powdery mildew, and cucumber mosaic virus. This allows operators to significantly reduce the frequency of chemical treatments and cut overhead costs related to crop protection.

Structural integrity and aesthetics

The plant height is moderate, ensuring that the stem remains sturdy and self-supporting throughout the growth cycle. No extra trellising or supports are required, which simplifies field maintenance and reduces labor costs. The red and cream petal coloring provides a high-demand aesthetic that holds up well during transport and storage. For the commercial operator, this means less waste and a consistently marketable end product.
