Tulip Country Star

A Reliable Choice for Commercial Tulip Production

The 'Country Star' tulip, belonging to the Triumph class, is a top choice for growers focused on high-quality cut flowers with predictable outcomes. Its strong genetic background minimizes the need for frequent fungicide applications, making it a cost-effective solution for both greenhouse and field production.

Agrotechnical Benefits and Disease Resistance

The primary advantage of 'Country Star' is its inherent resilience to common pathogens, which simplifies crop management and ensures healthier yields. It is notably resistant to:

• Downy mildew (Peronospora), crucial for maintaining crop integrity in humid environments.
• Powdery mildew, allowing for better plant development even in denser planting schemes.
• Cucumber mosaic virus, which often causes significant losses in sensitive varieties.

Field Scenarios and Production Efficiency

With its mid-season blooming window, 'Country Star' allows for a strategic harvest schedule, ensuring a steady supply for market demand. The vibrant red color is a consistent consumer favorite, guaranteeing high commercial appeal during peak spring dates. Its uniform growth habit and optimal height make it highly suitable for efficient harvesting processes, reducing the labor time spent sorting and grading.

For growers, this hybrid provides the consistency needed to manage large batches effectively. The uniformity of flowering ensures that the entire crop reaches the required stage simultaneously, optimizing logistics from the greenhouse to the cold chain, and ultimately to the retailer.
