Tulip Olympic Flame

Genetic Profile and Phytosanitary Resilience

"Olympic Flame" is a Darwin Hybrid tulip that integrates robust growth energy with high adaptability to environmental stressors. The technical value of this variety lies in its balanced immune profile: selective breeding for resistance against a complex of pathogens—including anthracnose, downy mildew, and powdery mildew—allows for significantly reduced fungicide application in commercial farming operations.

Morphological Parameters and Flowering

As a classic mid-season Darwin Hybrid, this variety displays high stem strength, making it an optimal solution for forcing and cut flower production. The visual hallmark is its high-contrast petal pattern: a vibrant yellow background accented with distinct red "flames" distributed across the surface. Pigment intensity remains consistent even under prolonged field exposure.

• Biological Status: Darwin Hybrid.
• Phytopathological Protection: High resistance to Cucumber Mosaic Virus and major fungal pathogens.
• Habitus: Tall-growing type, ensuring high-quality commercial yields.
• Phenology: Mid-season blooming, ideal for stable production scheduling.

The practical application of "Olympic Flame" is supported by its rapid root system development and efficient flower stalk formation. Resilience against Cucumber Mosaic Virus is a critical competitive advantage, as this pathogen is frequently responsible for premature bulb culling in professional nurseries.
