Tulip Conqueror

The Technical Potential of the Conqueror Darwin Hybrid

Within the selection of Darwin hybrid tulips, the 'Conqueror' stands out as a highly engineered product adapted to complex soil conditions. The technical value of this variety lies in its combination of a robust peduncle and significant biological resistance to pathogens, making it a predictable tool for professional floriculture.

Phytopathological Defense

A key feature of the 'Conqueror' is its integrated immune barrier against a complex of dangerous fungal diseases. In practice, this minimizes the risk of bulb loss during storage and vegetative growth:

• Fusarium: The variety demonstrates high resistance to basal rot, allowing its use in sites with intensive cultivation cycles.
• Verticillium: Genetic resistance to wilting ensures the integrity of the plant's vascular system, which is critical for nourishing the large flower.
• Anthracnose: The dense epidermal structure of the petals and leaves inhibits spore penetration, maintaining the plant's commercial appeal even in high-humidity environments.

Morphological and Phenological Characteristics

'Conqueror' belongs to the tall-growing category of tulips. The vertical architecture of the stem provides resistance to wind loads, which is critical for open-field cultivation. The bright yellow color of the petals possesses high saturation, achieved through stable carotenoid synthesis. Its mid-season flowering allows for flexible integration into conveyor-belt sales models, filling the gap between early and late varieties. This is a balanced solution for those seeking a combination of aesthetics and predictable agricultural performance.
